We’re excited to share some big news, renovations are currently underway at The Beachcomber Hotel as we continue to evolve and enhance our guest experience here in Sunny Nelson.
New Units Coming Soon
We’re transforming the downstairs area of our lodge into 14 brand-new units. This is a significant upgrade that will allow us to welcome even more guests while offering fresh, modern spaces that reflect the comfort and warmth you expect from The Beachcomber.
These new units are being designed with a focus on both functionality and style, perfect for travellers looking for a convenient and relaxing base just minutes from Tahunanui Beach.
Farewell to the Whakatu Room
As part of this renovation, we’ve said goodbye to our Whakatu Room, which has been a popular space for meetings and events over the years. While this means we no longer offer this particular venue, the exciting trade-off is the creation of high-quality guest accommodation that better meets current demand. For groups still looking for a meeting space during their stay, our Tasman Room remains available for hire.
Looking Ahead
Renovations are progressing well, and we’re carefully managing the process to minimise any disruption for our guests. The rest of the hotel remains open and ready to welcome you, with the same friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
